Neo Slim fountain pen from Faber-Castell. Made from anodized aluminum, this is a slender pen with beautifully minimalist styling. Its metal construction makes it sturdy, and gives it a reassuring weight, without being too heavy. The sprung clip is nicely practical.
The cap posts securely, clicking onto the barrel if you like to write that way, though the barrel is quite long enough that it's not needed. The push-fit cap fits cleanly to the main barrel, without interrupting the straight lines. To fit into the narrow space inside the cap, the dark stainless steel nib has a downward angle.
Brushed finish to the barrel and cap, with a smooth matt finish for the pocket clip. 140mm long capped, 122mm uncapped, 156mm posted. 9mm wide, weighs 20g. Uses standard 'international' cartridges, so you'll always have plenty of choice. Or fit a converter, available separately, to use bottled ink.
