This listing is for REBUILDING your Mercury 50 60 HP non Big Foot lower unit. These lower units have been nearly impossible to replace with anything used, leaving the only viable option being new from Mercury. To fill this void I have invested in Mercury Factory tools to properly rebuild and shim the gears. Properly shimming the gears is absolutely necessary to get the gear life Mercury engineered in to these parts.
The price for this service covers parts such as bearings seals and water pump parts along with labor for proper rebuilding.
ADDITIONAL MAJOR PARTS WILL BE AN EXTRA CHARGE ABOVE THE COST QUOTED FOR THE REBUILD SERVICE.
Some times I have nice used parts that will be available.
Please look carefully at the pictures and note the diameter of the gearcase bullet.
Note the sacrificial anodes above the cavitation plate
Note the height of the water pump housing.
Note there are 6 bolts holding the water pump base in place.
Note the shift shaft rotates to change gears.
Your lower unit must be in rebuildable condition or have enough parts that it is feasible to rebuild.
