    Description

For sale are 2 lovely salt cellars with cobalt blue inserts and 2 salt cellar spoons.
The holders are marked A. Stowell for Alexander Stowell of Boston who was in business from 1865-1904.   The two Towle spoons are Old Newbury-Newbury pattern from 1900.  (On Replacements Ltd, there are no salt spoons of this pattern available to purchase.  All other items in this pattern appear to be somewhat rare and rather expensive.)
So these are antique items with commensurate condition.  One salt cellar glass insert has a chip but when it is inside the sterling holder, you don't really notice it. One of the sterling holders has a small crack but does not affect the functionality, especially when the glass insert is inside.  The other insert and holder are in excellent shape with no defects that I can see.   The spoons are both in good shape and one of the spoons has a gold washed bowl.
The sterling holders weigh 48.2 g and the spoons weigh 19.1 for a total of 67.3 g.
Please see the photos as they are part of the description.  The last photo is a closeup of the defects.
    Thank you for looking!
We are in the process of downsizing.  Along with cleaning out my jewelry box, I'm looking through drawers and boxes in my basement.  I'm amazed at what I'm finding to share with you!  :-)  In addition, I have recently come into possession of a large number of items from an estate auction. So please take a look at my other items!
